Rose Otto Oil – Pure Bulgarian Rose Essential Oil

Rose oil is one of the most loved essential oils in the world. It is also one of the most expensive, because the petals must be carefully picked by hand, and it takes about 30 roses to make just one drop of essential oil – that is around 600 roses for a single millilitre!

Rose "Otto" oil is extracted by steam distillation, which gives a smaller yield. That is why it costs more than rose absolute, which is made with solvent extraction and gives a bigger yield.

A word of caution: rose oil is in very high demand for perfumes and skincare. Sadly, the temptation for dishonest sellers to fake it is huge. Price is a good guide – if it sounds too good to be true, it most likely is.
